Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls are super easy, decadent, and make a great gift. They’re great for making for holiday gatherings, family events, or goody boxes to let your friends know they’re loved. It’s a bit of a process, so have fun making these alongside someone or as a group activity.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls are a special treat that my Mother-In-Law used to make every year for my husband. As an adult on his own, she’d make a batch, package them up in a cute tin and ship them to him for Christmas. The first year Mike and I spent Christmas together he received a tin, and it was the first time I remember him getting excited about sweets. I, on the other hand, have always had a weakness for sweets. I really tried to stay away from those Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls, and it was tough!
These are a delightful treat. Crunchy, peanut buttery, chocolate covered, and so good. They are extremely rich, so they don’t disappear in a flash. One batch makes quite a lot so you can keep some and give some away to your peanut butter loving pals. Keep them refrigerated or frozen in an airtight container to keep them as fresh and delicious as possible.
As with many family recipes, this may need some adjustment. If the peanut butter mix seems too dry to roll into balls, add more peanut butter. If you run out of chocolate while coating, melt more chocolate. If you have extra chocolate, you can coat some pretzels or cookies.
