Creamy Beefy Noodles
Creamy Beefy Noodles, not a fancy name or a fancy dish. It is easy, quick, and comforting for a great weeknight dinner. Spice it up if you’d like, or keep it mild. Plus, this versatile one dish recipe can include as many vegetables or as few as you like. Serve alongside a simple salad or alone, this can hit the table in 45 minutes and give you leftovers for later.
For years I did everything I could with ground beef to put good, tasty food on the table for as little money as possible. Homemade hamburger helper type recipes are budget stretchers. But, flavor doesn’t have to be compromised to put a budget meal on the table. Stretch your grocery money a little further and buy a chuck roast or chuck steak and grind it yourself. You’ll get a better tasting ground beef with minimal fat and you know exactly what’s going into your dinner. Or, ask the butcher to grind a piece of beef for you so it’s fresh. When you’re preparing your budget meal, explore the spice rack and add in the flavors you love. This is a great recipe to personalize as you choose. We rarely make it the same way twice.
This recipe is another from Mike’s bachelor days recipe book. We’ve made some improvements and additions but the simple comfort is always appreciated. Weeknight dinner goes from a question to service in 45 minutes without a lot of effort. This makes enough for leftovers or a freezer meal. Cook once and eat multiple meals.
